The extinction of species is one of the most important issues of this century: without biodiversity we have no future. In Germany, too, around a third of all animal and plant species are threatened with extinction. The loss of biodiversity threatens the economic and ecological future of our country. The biodiversity on our earth is decreasing every hour, and with it the security of supply of us humans with water, food and oxygen is in danger.
